I specialise in civil litigation with a particular focus on working for insurers across a wide range of matters. I have advised insurers on a wide range of matters including fire and general, maritime, material damage, earthquake claims, subrogated recovery and policy response.
I have extensive experience in marine cargo claims and arresting ships, leaky building and earthquake litigation, working closely with cargo surveyors, engineers, quantity surveyors and other experts. My recent experience includes acting for insurers on High Court proceedings arising from the Canterbury earthquakes and a ten month secondment to an insurer advising on policy wording, general insurance and commercial matters.
I am a committee member of the Maritime Law Association of Australia and New Zealand.
