I specialise in commercial and civil litigation with particular expertise in leaky building and professional indemnity litigation. In addition to formal litigation procedures, I have experience in alternative dispute resolution and various disciplinary forums and I am regularly involved in mediation, both privately and in the Weathertight Homes Tribunal.
My recent work includes acting for health professionals and lawyers in complaints and disciplinary matters, acting for an accountancy firm in a multimillion dollar auditors negligence claim and conducting the defence and settlement of numerous Ministry of Education claims against architects arising out of “leaky school” claims.
I joined Duncan Cotterill in 2007, having previously worked for six years at a large Auckland firm in its commercial dispute resolution team. I’m a member of NZILA.
