Charlotte Kerr
I specialise in medico-legal law and general civil litigation.
I provide professional indemnity advice to a range of health professionals including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, psychologists, counsellors, social workers, dentists, and optometrists. I also have experience assisting other professionals, including architects and engineers facing disciplinary processes.
I have appeared before the Court of Appeal, High Court, District Court, various specialist tribunals and the New Zealand Parole Board. I also have vast experience in ACC matters, criminal and Mental Health Act proceedings, having previously worked for a boutique personal injury law firm and as a duty solicitor on the mental health roster for multiple district health boards.
I am a member of the New Zealand Insurance Law Association and am a lead provider of legal aid.
I am a graduate of Victoria University of Wellington and spent some time studying at the National University of Singapore having received a New Zealand Prime Minister’s Scholarship for Asia to do so.
