Caleb specialises in commercial and insurance law disputes and litigation. He provides advice and advocacy across a broad range of areas, with a particular focus on professional negligence claims and complex commercial disputes.
Caleb helps clients to make sense of what are often complicated issues and achieve practical solutions to problems, whether direct through direct negotiations, alternative dispute resolution, or Court proceedings.
His insurance work includes advising insurers and defending professional negligence claims (particularly in the construction sector). Caleb also deals with general commercial disputes, property and construction matters and contract and negligence claims.
Caleb has been involved in numerous High Court proceedings in New Zealand and regularly engages with alternative dispute resolution processes including mediation. Before joining Duncan Cotterill, Caleb spent several years in a boutique property law firm where he was involved with a number of property disputes and a series of building defects cases.
