I specialise in corporate and commercial law, and information technology law. I provide advice on mergers and acquisitions, ICT and commercial contracts, joint ventures, company restructurings, securities offerings and general corporate and commercial law. I work closely with a number of Nelson-based banks and accountants presenting seminars to the local business community.
My experience includes acting for a wide variety of public and private sector clients based in Nelson and across New Zealand. I primarily work with clients involved in the technology, aviation, aquaculture, oil and gas, and financial services industries.
Information technology is a particular focus for me. My ICT experience includes advising on the IT and intellectual property aspects of mergers and acquisitions including transitional services arrangements and separation issues. I also advise on complex ICT outsourcings, and drafting and negotiating various ICT related contracts including software development, licensing, support and maintenance, hosting and escrow agreements and agreements for the development and ongoing operation of websites.
I am a member of the Institute of Directors and an active supporter of ILANZ, the In-house Lawyers Association of New Zealand (previously known as CLANZ).
