Today, NZ Lawyer announced their Rising Stars for 2022 and the firm is thrilled three of its senior lawyers, Partner Alastair Holland and Senior Associates Alysha Hinton and Peter Fernando, have achieved this recognition. The NZ Lawyer list comprises 62 of the most promising young lawyers in New Zealand's legal industry.
Alastair was appointed a Partner in our Queenstown office in April 2021 following Duncan Cotterill’s acquisition of Mackersy Legal. Alastair is a commercial lawyer and acts for clients on a wide range of legal matters with respect to commercial, property and financing transactions. He is a great mentor and leader in the Queenstown office and we are delighted to have him driving the future and growth of this office.
Alysha is a property lawyer in our Wellington commercial team. Her diverse practice covers a full range of commercial advice with specific expertise in property, construction, trust, estate planning, and immigration matters. She is regularly the lead advisor on the sale and acquisition of commercial and residential property, commercial leases for both landlords and tenants, and property developments, including unit title and other subdivisions.
Peter is a Senior Associate in our commercial and technology teams, and works nationally from our Christchurch office. He has broad commercial experience, including in the areas of information technology, contract, consumer, and intellectual property. Peter was listed as a recommended lawyer in the Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2022 legal directory for TMT.
