Alastair is a property and commercial lawyer.

He acts for clients on a wide range of legal matters with respect to commercial, property and financing transactions. Alastair regularly acts on property transactions across many asset classes including industrial, commercial, retail and residential, as well as on subdivisions.

Alastair has a particular interest in legal issues with respect to high country stations and pastoral leases and has had regular involvement with the office of the Commissioner of Crown Lands.

With a strong background in the banking and financial services sector, Alastair provides advice on loan facilities, security arrangements, PPSA issues and guarantees for lenders and borrowers.

He also provides advice on Overseas Investment Act pathways, applications and exemptions for overseas investors. He has acted for many Australian and Singaporean purchasers purchasing residential property in Central Otago and on benefit tested Overseas Investment Office applications.
