Today, NZ Lawyer announced their Rising Stars for 2021 and the firm is thrilled that Wellington partner Olivia Lund and Auckland senior associate Alastair Espie have achieved this recognition. The NZ Lawyer list comprises 39 of the most promising young lawyers in New Zealand's legal industry.
Olivia is a litigation and dispute resolution specialist, and leads the Wellington employment and health and safety teams. She was recently recognised as a 'Next Generation Partner' by the Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2021 legal directory for her work in labour and employment. She is regularly instructed on complex workplace incidents involving fatalities and serious harm. Her employment law practice covers the full spectrum of employment law. Olivia also acts for a number of insurers on statutory liability (health and safety/resource management), employment disputes liability, professional complaints and disciplinary claims.
Alastair a specialist employment lawyer and provides strategic advice on a broad range of workplace issues. He has worked closely with a number of New Zealand’s most significant private and public sector entities and regularly represents clients at mediation, in the Employment Relations Authority and in the Employment Court.
