Juliet Short

I am an experienced corporate and commercial lawyer, advising clients across a wide range of matters including business establishments and restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.  Examples of my recent experience include acting for the shareholders of a large privately-held company on the sale of their shares and advising a leading adventure tourism operator on the acquisition of a complementary business.

While working full-time, I completed a Masters degree specialising in of Corporate and Commercial Law with first class honours as part of which I undertook research in SME finance, corporate governance, and company meetings.

I have recently developed a special interest in tax law and my experience includes advising on business structuring, asset planning for high net worth individuals, and a wide range of tax opinion work.

I have first-hand experience working in-house, having been seconded to Sealord Group Limited and to Lumley General Insurance. This experience has given me an insight into the corporate world and helps bring a practical and commercial focus to my advice.

I am currently on parental leave.
