Joe has extensive experience advising on all facets of employment and health & safety law. He prides himself on understanding the unique needs of his clients and providing tailored and effective advice and assistance.

Joe regularly assists employer and employee clients to navigate difficult workplace issues, including disciplinary investigations, performance management, restructuring and personal grievances. He also has experience in complex workplace investigations.

He advises clients in relation to a range of health & safety issues, and is available to assist with regulatory compliance (including asbestos removal), licencing, and incident management.

With previous experience as a Crown Prosecutor, Joe is able to apply a unique perspective and understanding to WorkSafe investigations and prosecutions and effective advocacy in employment disputes.

Recent highlights

  • Representing clients in mediation and successfully negotiating resolutions to complex personal grievance issues.

  • Assisting corporate clients to successfully review (and overturn) enforcement notices issued by WorkSafe.

  • Providing advice and advocacy for a large NZ company to secure the renewal of its Class A Asbestos Removal Licence.
