I am an experienced property, business and commercial lawyer advising clients across a wide range of matters including company start-up and restructuring, joint ventures, sales and acquisitions and leasing matters. I enjoy the demand and innovation required for complex transactions and helping people in business to reach their goals and to be successful. My strength is in providing personable service combined with practical commercial advice.
Examples of my recent experience includes acting for US based Ceres Environmental in disaster recovery, and advising Ceres on the set-up and operation of their company in Christchurch. I also advise Aspect Furniture Systems, a leading commercial furniture systems provider, on various supplier contracts; and worked with a Philippines-based listed company, Alliance Select Foods International Inc, on its acquisition of Prime Foods NZ.
Outside of work I am a board member of the Orana Wildlife Trust Board and a trustee of the University of Canterbury Foundation, an independent charitable trust which seeks donations, bequests, and partnerships from individuals and organisations to support students, teachers, researchers and programmes.
