Duncan Cotterill announces new CEO
Duncan Cotterill has announced the appointment of Pete Boyle as Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Boyle has had an extensive career in the professional services sector, both as a partner, and more recently as a CEO. Having previously worked with PwC in London, he became a partner at global accounting firm Deloitte, based in Wellington upon returning to New Zealand. He also established and led consulting firm Acuity Partners.
In 2010, he was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of AJ Park Limited, a Wellington based national law firm which specialises in intellectual property. There he led the sale of AJ Park to Australian company IPH, a transaction which completed in 2017.
Duncan Cotterill Chairman, Struan McOmish, is pleased with the outcome of the firm’s appointment process. “Pete has an exceptional track record in the professional services sector having worked across consulting, accounting and the law. He is an outstanding leader and communicator and we are delighted to have him join our firm,” he said.
“Professional service firms are largely reliant on the calibre of people they can attract and the ability to create an environment that enables those people to deliver outstanding results for their clients,” said Mr. McOmish. “Strong and capable leadership is a critical ingredient to enabling our people to perform to the best of their ability.”
Mr. Boyle said that he was excited to be joining an outstanding national firm with such a strong client base. “Duncan Cotterill is a terrific firm comprising good people who have a reputation for doing outstanding legal work. I’m looking forward to meeting our team and getting to know our clients.”
Mr. Boyle will commence his new role in February.
