I am part of our Christchurch commercial team and focus on property, private client, and agribusiness work. My clients range from individuals and families through to larger companies and corporates, including a number of national retailers.

My commercial and private client work includes advising clients who are acquiring or disposing of property and businesses. I advise on a range of business structures including companies, joint ventures and limited partnerships. I also have a special interest in asset planning and trusts, and present regularly at industry events and client seminars on these topics.

I advise on a large number of rural transactions including family, syndicate, and corporate dairy farmers. I’m supported in this work by the firm’s environmental law and resource management specialists.

My work for clients includes advising on:

  • Acquisitions and disposals of large and small farm businesses.
  • Investments by institutional fund managers in major agriculture and dairy operations.
  • Commercial property arrangements for a large New Zealand retail chain.

I am the chair of Duncan Cotterill's partnership and board. I’m a member of Business Networking International and have a wide network of professional contacts across the business community. I provide pro bono support to some great community initiatives including the Hororata Highland Games and the Taylors Mistake Surf Life Saving Club Trust.
