Raewyn Lovett ONZM
I practice mainly in the areas of corporate and commercial law but over the years I have also built up an expertise in employment law. I work closely with a wide group of clients providing advice on matters such as mergers, acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, capital raising, shareholder agreements and disputes, and a range of specialist contractual advice.
As part of my employment practice I provide assistance with all aspects of my clients’ employee relations and the implementation of sound workplace policies and practices. This includes mediation representation, disciplinary matters, re-structuring and health and safety polices.
My clients include Datacom, OCG Consulting, The Produce Company, Candida Stationery and Crown Asset Management (CAML).
In addition to my legal career I enjoy spending time in governance roles. I was Chair of Netball New Zealand for seven years and on the board of TTNL Limited (responsible for the establishment of the ANZ Championship). I am currently the Chair of Aktive - Auckland Sport Recreation, Chair of Dunedin Venues Management Limited, Chair of Auckland Sport and the Chair of selectors for Triathlon New Zealand.
I also sit on the board of CHT which operates resthome and hospital facilities in the upper North Island. I am a chartered member of the Institute of Directors and was honoured as an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to netball in the 2015 Queen’s Birthday Honours. In March 2018 I was appointed New Zealand co-chair of the International Working Group on Women and Sport (IWG) board.
