He works across a wide range of disputes and contentious matters and at all stages of a dispute.

Patrick is regularly engaged to assist insurers with indemnity issues and defending insured liability claims. He has a particular interest in life, health and disability insurance and enjoys providing assistance to claimants and insurers alike.

In addition, Patrick is passionate about trust and estate law.  He has assisted trustees with defending claims made against them and to navigate their legal duties, as well as helping beneficiaries to understand their rights and make claims when things have gone wrong. Patrick has acted in many hostile disputes of this nature.

  • Complex litigation in the High Court and Court of Appeal involving high-profile, high-value claims.
  • Acting in cases involving the application for removal and replacement of trustees, allegations of breaches of duties, and wrongfully obtained funds.
  • Assisting parties with claims regarding testamentary capacity and undue influence.
  • Assisting parties with out of court settlement negotiations to minimise risks and costs of ongoing litigation.
