Kate Mitchell

I specialise in commercial and property law, alongside having an active private client practice.
My commercial expertise includes advising clients on business acquisitions and dispositions, shareholders’ agreements, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, restructuring and governance matters. My property expertise includes advising individuals, companies, investors and tenants across a range of residential and commercial property areas, including OIO advice.
I also regularly advise clients on asset protection structures, including family trusts, estate planning and relationship property issues.
Prior to joining Duncan Cotterill I worked for firms locally as well as international firms in Dublin and London. I am a member of the Property Law Section of the New Zealand Law Society and I also have governance roles on a number of boards and charitable trusts.
