John is an employment law specialist with broad expertise across a range of contentious and non‑contentious employment matters. He advises clients of all sizes on complex employment issues, with a focus on practical and effective outcomes.

John advises employers across all stages of the employment relationship, including disciplinary and performance management processes, restructures and redundancies, medical incapacity, personal grievances, and bullying and harassment matters. He has particular experience supporting organisations operating in regulated, unionised, or operationally complex environments, and in collective bargaining.

He regularly assists employers with preparing and defending personal grievance claims, represents clients in mediation, and has experience in the Employment Relations Authority, the Human Rights Review Tribunal and the Employment Court.

John also represents employees to raise and resolve employment issues they have with their employers, and he has extensive experience in Employment Practices Liability insurance matters.
