Emma leads Duncan Cotterill’s People and Culture function, overseeing the firm’s people strategy and operations to ensure a positive employee experience and alignment with the firm’s growth ambitions.

She leads the design and delivery of people strategies that connect performance, culture, and purpose. She partners with the Executive Team and Partners to strengthen leadership capability, embed operational excellence and create a workplace where people feel valued, supported, and inspired to do great work that enables the firm’s continued success.

Prior to joining Duncan Cotterill, Emma held senior People and Culture leadership roles across both the private and public sectors, including at PwC New Zealand and Auckland Council. She brings extensive experience in HR transformation, leadership development, and workforce optimisation, and is known for building high-performing teams and implementing people strategies that drive measurable impact.

Emma is on a 12-month fixed term contract until October 2026, covering Anne-Marie Way’s Parental Leave.
