Edwin regularly acts for businesses and individuals facing charges brought by regulators under the Health and Safety at Work Act, the Resource Management Act, the Building Act, and other regulatory regimes. His practice here is focused on working for defendants in the forestry, manufacturing, stevedoring and primary sectors. He is a member of The Law Association Health and Safety Law Committee and enjoys presenting on the subject.

He also acts regularly for liability and general insurers, where he advises on indemnity and defends insured liability claims arising from construction defects, fire, earthquake and professional negligence.

Edwin also acts on a variety of other contentious matters including civil and commercial litigation and judicial review.
