Ashleigh is a Senior Legal Executive in the Nelson private client team, and being located in Central Otago, she is also closely involved with the Queenstown office.

Ashleigh has a broad range of experience working with private individuals, however her main areas of expertise centre around estate administration, asset planning and trust administration.

A key team member in Nelson’s estate practice, she assists clients throughout the estate administration process, including applying for grants of probate and letters of administration, as well as acting for executors and trustees in the subsequent administration of estates.

Ashleigh is also involved in all areas of estate planning, including preparing wills, enduring powers of attorney and family trusts. Duncan Cotterill has a large trust practice in Nelson and she assists with the management of our trust client portfolio, including establishing and administering trusts, gifting, providing advice around trustee duties and the Trusts Act 2019, and asset planning.

She understands that she is often working with clients through very difficult times and is known for bringing an empathetic and practical approach to her role.
