I am an experienced insurance litigation lawyer, with particular expertise in earthquake claims, professional indemnity and statutory liability insurance.
I represent clients at all stages of the dispute, including providing advice on indemnity and liability, defending proceedings and appearing at Court hearings, judicial settlement conferences, mediations and in direct negotiations.
My experience in-house and as external counsel has given me a unique understanding of the challenges faced by the insurance industry and their customers. I give practical, efficient advice focused on my clients’ business needs.
I am a graduate of Otago University (LLB/BA) and have practiced law in New Zealand since 2006. I also practiced in Melbourne for over two years in relation to the 2009 Victorian Bushfires Royal Commission and class actions.
I am currently on maternity leave.
